Following the"Little Dragon Girl"from the year before last and the "Beautiful Snake"from last year,this year's Horse themed edition debuts in a Western-style detective look.The Zodiac series,starting from the Tiger year in 2021,releases a new design each year-each one unique distinctive!From design development to fabric selection,everything is independently customized,dyed,and originally designed.
For the new Horse theme this year,we've adopted a two-tone overdyed leather patch complemented by embossed detailing,creating a vivid Western detective motif that leaves a strong impression.
The fabric is different from previous years-this time we've used a broken twill weave(also known as across twill).Unlike conventional twill fabric,the face yarns are more desely arranged,with less weft exposure,resulting in a visually deeper color.Additionally, this weave avoids the leg twist common in traditional twill fabrics(a post-wash twisting of the pant legs that many newcomers find hard to accept).
The Zodiac series features a slightly strechy version that is more suitable for a wider audience.We have performed one-wash treatment to remove the starch,making it very easy to care for-no need for initial shrinking or washing like raw denim,you can wear it right away.
For fading enthusiasts,these pants can develop unique fades over time.For newcomers who are unfamiliar with raw denim or worried about stiffness,these pants incorporate 1% spandex for slight stretch,offering high comfort and ease of wear.This is a pair of jeans that satisfies both seasoned fading veterans and beginners alike(it will form fading patterns with wear).
In response to feedback from some longtime fading enthusiasts over the past two years who felt the series' fabric was not heavy enough,we significantly increased the weight starting with the Year of the Dragon to make the pants more substantial and textured.This Year of the Hore limited edition reaches 16oz.
This Year of the Horse edition is even heavier than previous versions.After one-wash,the finished product you receive weighs 16oz.Thanks to our desizing and regular washing process,it won't feel overly stiff.
The fabric is newly developed and designed by SauceZhan,woven on vintage imported shuttle looms into selvedge denim using a broken twill weave.The weft yarn is a two-tone blend of red and brown reactive-dyed threads,while the warp yarn is dyed in an extra-deep pure indigo.The selvedge id is woven with a striking combination of red,blue and yellow threads,craeting a truly refined edge.
This fabric is made for fading-it will evolve with wear.We've thoushtfully applied an official desizing treatment,so no further shrinkage or washing is needed.The pants have been pre-washed,making them much softer than raw denim.
This is an incredibly versatile pair of jeans that can be worn casually even if you're not into fading,yet it's also ready to develop beautiful,personalized fades over time for those who appreciate the art of denim evolution.
