2024 Dragon Year Summer Style – specially designed with a lightweight, breathable fabric of just 11 oz. It's a real blessing for selvedge denim fading enthusiasts. Many who love selvedge denim wear their jeans all year round, but heavy fabrics can be too hot and uncomfortable in summer. These 11 oz selvedge denim jeans not only retain all the characteristics of true selvedge denim, but the lightweight, breathable fabric also makes them much more comfortable to wear in the summer heat.
The fabric is fully developed in-house. Through adjustments to the dyeing process, it achieves a beautifully vibrant indigo color. The fit uses our popular 908XX pattern — a slim straight leg with a slight taper, similar to the 66 model (Lin Fang Heng 710). Comfortable and ideal for summer. The fabric has been pre-shrunk, so shrinkage is minimal — just choose your usual size. This is a selvedge denim style woven on antique looms. It requires an initial soak to remove starch and will fade with wear, developing its own unique fading patterns. Depending on the washing methods, some leg twist may occur. Newcomers, please be sure to understand the characteristics of selvedge denim before purchasing.

High-end styles are produced in the sample room using a large number of vintage sewing machines, resulting in very low production capacity. Currently, only a small number of pre-orders are available, and we will list more as they are finished. The entire pair uses expensive Japanese Gunze thread throughout. Crafted with precision in our vintage sewing machine workshop, we employ many antique machines from the 1940s–1960s, giving the jeans an exceptional level of detail. The fly features scallop stitching as shown in the image, and the pockets have "又" character stitching — both are rare details from antique sewing machines of the 1940s–1960s, uncommon and unique. Maintaining these vintage machines is difficult and costly, but the details they produce are truly exquisite and worth appreciating. These techniques are reserved exclusively for the SAUCE ORIGIN high-end product line.
Inspired by the 2024 Dragon Year details, this handmade 925 silver button is wrapped over a copper base and then finely polished by hand, resulting in an exquisite, lifelike dragon design as delicate as jewelry. Because the dragon carving has so many intricate details, polishing the button requires an extremely fine and time‑consuming manual process. For this reason, the cost of the carved dragon button is not just the silver material – the handwork alone is very expensive, even more than the material itself. As the silver oxidizes and darkens over time, the texture of the dragon carving becomes even more unique and three‑dimensional. The secondary buttons are brass with silver plating – with wear, the plating will gradually wear off, revealing the brass underneath.
