The overall color, whiskers, and honeycombs are all based on our signature fade-developed model, the SZ003.As a brand that has always focused on raw denim, SAUCE ZHAN has never been fond of stiff or exaggerated artificial washing effects.Since we began developing washed products, we have always used natural wear-based fading as our benchmark, striving to create washed products that closely resemble the patina of naturally aged denim.This model is a heavily washed-style jean with a complex and meticulous production process.It went through countless adjustments and refinements before finally being released.The color and texture were matched against a reclaimed, well-worn SZ003 slub denim pair as a reference, aiming to achieve a 1:1 reproduction of natural fading patterns.It is crafted from 14oz selvedge denim woven on antique looms, in a mid-rise straight leg cut — a classic fit similar to our in-store 316XX model.
We have consistently engaged in repeated testing and development for our washed products,
experimenting numerous times to move away from stiff and cheap washing techniques and align as closely as possible with the high-end washing craftsmanship of Japanese LVC.For those who appreciate the natural fading textures of raw denim but prefer not to go through the fading process,this pair is a rare and excellent product.
This washed denim color aims to faithfully replicate the iconic fading of a well-worn SAUCE ZHAN slub SZ003 pair.The wash effect is natural and subtle – even from a distance, it closely resembles the character of naturally faded denim.We referenced and adjusted techniques based on classic washes such as LVC,adopting Japanese washing standards to achieve a look that is both natural and comfortable,striving to come as close as possible to the appearance of raw denim that has been broken in over time.Those familiar with wash processes will recognize from the photos that achieving this level of finish requires advanced and nuanced washing techniques.There are no harsh whiskers or honeycombs – instead, the fading is soft, and the blue remains clear and vibrant.Combined with numerous handmade details and intentional aging treatments,these jeans offer a refined, playful appeal that denim enthusiasts will appreciate.
Additionally, all worn-through areas and holes in these pants are backed with an inner reinforcement fabric. This prevents skin from showing through and stops the holes from further tearing with wear, enhancing durability. The reinforcement fabric is also finished with edge-binding around all sides to prevent fraying during washing – a thoughtful detail in construction.
