Note: These buttons are made from genuine horn. As natural animal material, horn buttons are significantly more expensive than common brass buttons. We have received feedback from a small number of customers about buttons breaking after washing. Through repeated testing and verification, we have confirmed that this is caused by washing with hot water. Please do not use hot water for desizing. When genuine horn material comes into contact with hot water, expansion from heat and contraction from cold may cause the buttons to crack. Cold water washing is sufficient. Horn buttons are costly, and during the manufacturing process, producers must avoid direct sunlight and handle with great care. They truly cannot withstand exposure to hot water. Please be informed.
This pair of denim shorts is made from a newly developed fabric, woven on vintage shuttle looms with a red selvedge edge. At a lightweight 10oz, it's perfectly suited for summer. The fabric blends 79.5% cotton with 20.5% ramie, delivering a crisp texture with enhanced breathability and comfort in hot weather.
The silhouette is inspired by OG107 military shorts, but we made significant structural modifications to suit the characteristics of selvedge fabric. Because the outer edge of selvedge denim is a rigid straight line, we adjusted the cut to avoid inward curling at the leg opening, allowing the shorts to fall naturally and loosely, creating a relaxed yet clean fit.
Finished with tonal stitching, natural horn buttons, and extensive chain-stitch construction, each piece is crafted in our in-house factory with care. The level of craftsmanship exceeds that of many full-length jeans, making this a standout selvedge option for vintage workwear enthusiasts in warmer months.
The shorts use a lot of chain-stitched hidden details.
This design is not suited for metal buttons, so we opted for natural horn buttons that provide a warm, organic touch—perfectly aligned with the garment’s vintage aesthetic. The stitching is done in a tonal dark thread, maintaining a clean and understated finish.The leather patch is made from natural vegetable-tanned cowhide, which will gradually develop a rich reddish-brown patina with sun exposure and wear—adding a unique, aged character over time. We used a pass-through patch design, allowing a belt to slide through the lower end for both function and visual interest.For practicality, the fly features a YKK zipper instead of buttons, making it easier to wear and remove—especially in warmer weather.
This pair of shorts takes design cues from our in-store classic OG107 military shorts, featuring the iconic patch pocket design for a clean, utilitarian look.
